Great timing with this article, given that AMD is reportedly considering hiking the price of its MI350 chip by 70%, reflective of better than expected demand for its GPUs than skeptics would have thought.

Another potential catalyst for AMD to climb higher in the future is when they crack the optimum chip design for on-device AI processing (for laptops and desktops).

As AI productivity apps gain traction, edge computing is where AMD could have the opportunity to outperform Nvidia, because less tasks will have to be sent to the data center.
